Our Story
dameSpeak was founded at the beginning of 2021 amid a worldwide pandemic and economic crisis. Alex Colley and Lori Davies worked together a few years prior, kept in touch, and both found themselves unemployed during that time. As luck would have it, Lori was on LinkedIn and noticed that Alex was open to opportunities. Lori quickly messaged Alex and asked one simple thing, "Do you want to start our own business?" Alex enthusiastically replied, "Absolutely!".
They had their first meeting on January 13th, brainstormed the name, branding, services, etc. But mostly they discussed each other's strengths and weaknesses and how they could help small to medium-sized businesses thrive. After that one conversation, dameSpeak was born.

Meet the Dames

Alex Colley
With close to 20 years in marketing and creative services, Alex is devoted to finding creative solutions that help businesses grow. In her words, she "LOVES to create and build."
Alex has a bachelor of science degree in Marketing and Advertising from the University of Tampa and an MBA from the University of West Florida. She has worked for both public and private organizations in various industries including economic development, education, business networking, food & beverage, retail sales, and healthcare. No matter the industry, the purposeful creative in her is constantly asking, "Who still needs to know about this? What can we do better? How can we get this message across clearer and drive business?"

In her personal life, Alex proudly labels herself a crazy dogmom, fun aunt, wannabe foodie, and avid marathoner.

Lori Davies
Lori has 25 years in business development and marketing. She thrives on building enduring relationships. She is a lifelong learner who always ask questions and wants to know why. When Lori was a child, her parents got so tired of her asking why they bought a book called, "The Book of Why."
Lori has worked in several verticals with an emphasis in healthcare. With experience in everything from strategy to execution she has a scalable process she uses with each client to ensure a successful campaign. She loves to figure out the best way to communicate to your clients or prospects to build future relationships.
In her free time, Lori loves walking her dog, spending time with her husband, her cat, her many friends and catching up with her two children.
